Night out in London is a comprehensive guide to the capitals nightlife covering all aspects of entertainment from dusk 'til dawn and our sister magazine of the same name has proved invaluable for the last decade to Londoners and visitors to our city.

In our quest to bring you the latest ‘must try’ place we have at all times tried to be selective rather than exhaustive. Whether it’s a romantic evening, a wild night on the town or a visit to a theatre, the guide covers every conceivable taste and pursuit as well as providing practical information. Discover the best venues for jazz, rock and rhythm ‘n’ blues and the most happening restaurants and clubs where you may catch sight of the celebs at play and if you’re still feeling energetic, there are starlit tours, late night sports and shops plus the low down on the fashionable, fast-moving night club circuit.
London is famous for its party vibe and non-stop nightlife. The capital is seething with after-hours drinking and dancing dens of all shapes and sizes. From the pulsating dance-floors of the major nightclubs to the chilled out intimacy of smaller DJ bars, London has something to offer both hardcore party animals and those looking for a quiet drink and conversation.
A traditional British pub awaits you on practically every street corner but if you're looking for something special why not head towards Belgravia, home to members of the 'rich list'. Their local corner shops include Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Only yards away you'll find a great trio of wonderful pubs. The Grenadier, the Wilton Arms and the Nags Head They are all conveniently situated just a few minutes walk from one another and when you have visited one, or all three, you can say you have drunk in a real English watering hole.
If its culture you're after you've definitely come to the right place. London is home to four of the worlds largest orchestras, the London Symphony Orchestra, The Philharmonia, London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic. The English National Opera performs entirely in English at the Coliseum and The Royal Ballet performs at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
The West End is home to theatre, musicals, ballet and opera. London theatrical life, buzzing long before Shakespeare, has more than a dozen West End musicals playing, many with matinees and discounted tickets. The National Theatre stages classics, musicals, new plays and entertainment within three auditoriums: the Olivier, Lyttelton and the Cottesloe. At Shakespeare's Globe on the South Bank, audience participation is positively encouraged.
If by any chance you stumble across a venue that you find particularly interesting and worthy of a visit from a member of our team, don’t keep it to yourself share it with us and we will try to include it at the first available opportunity. In the meantime, enjoy your nights out in London.
