Dining In London's Theatreland
With most shows in the West End starting between 7.30 and 8pm it's sometimes a bit of a dilemma whether to choose a restaurant that offers good food and excellent service for fear of missing curtain-up or just going for the fast-food option.

In the directory listings we bring you restaurants that are conscious of the theatregoer's needs and offer excellent set-price menus at reasonable prices to help you enjoy the show without suffering from indigestion or a rumbling stomach.
Though the trend for 90 minute shows gives you more time, in-house theatre restaurants are variable. The Royal Opera House's facilities offer you a starter before the show, a main course during the interval and pudding after the curtain call. The Royal Court's casual menu hits just the right note. In the West End pre and post- theatre menus are easy to come by, though do let your waiter know what time your show starts before you order.
